About Us

Partnered with the Fondren Orthopedic Group, L.L.P., Dr. J. Kevin Horn, M.D. provides orthopedic surgery for patients all over the Gulf Coast – including Baytown, Texas, Beaumont, Texas, Lufkin, Texas, Galveston, Texas and all points in between. Dr. Horn is dedicated to providing expert orthopedic care to as many people as possible and performs orthopedic surgery in 3 locations: Altus Hospital in Baytown, Texas, Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital in Baytown, Texas, and Bayshore Medical Center located in Pasadena, Texas. Dr. Horn has been board-certified in orthopedic surgery since 1996 and has consistently kept up-to-date with innovative orthopedic treatments by offering arthroscopic surgeries and anterior approach for total hip replacements.

During his time at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, Dr. Horn graduated in the top 10% of his class, earning him a position in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society. Once he completed his first year of medical school, he was granted a scholarship from the United States Air Force and was commissioned as a 2^nd Lieutenant. During his time in the Air Force, Dr. Horn completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. Upon completing his training, he served 3 winters at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, where he earned the rank of Major and was the Chief of Orthopedics. In 1997, Dr. Horn returned to his hometown of Baytown, Texas and began offering his services to residents from all around the Gulf Coast through the Fondren Group.
